Liverpool’s Phillips joins West Brom

Liverpool’s Nat Phillips has joined West Brom on a three-year contract for an undisclosed fee.
Having played 32 Championship games on loan at Derby last season, the centre-back, who made 29 first-team appearances for the Reds after progressing through their academy, is leaving the club.
In an interview with West Brom’s official media, Phillips explained that the club’s ambition, which mirrored his, was a significant reason for his decision. I think everyone at the club and involved would like to see it competing for promotion and pushing for Premier League football – and that’s the same as me.
“I’m very excited and eager to start as soon as I learn about this opportunity.”
“I’ve had several loans over the past few years, and it’ll be nice for me and my family to go somewhere and know we’re staying there to develop a relationship with the club and the fans.”.
