The Times reported that Jurgen Klopp pondered the possibility of replacing Mohamed Salah with Antony before Salah’s contract extension at Anfield in 2022. 
The Brazilian winger joined Manchester United in the same summer for £82m, instead of going to another team. Since then, he has only scored 12 goals in 87 games.
Mike Gordon, the president of Fenway Sports Group, responsible for the club’s daily activities, opted to renew Salah’s contract instead of signing Antony.
In other news, according to The Sun, Chelsea are reportedly looking to acquire Liverpool’s goalkeeper, Caoimhin Kelleher, during the summer transfer window.

The Irishman will likely leave Anfield at the end of the season as the Reds bring in a new goalkeeper, Giorgi Mamardashvili.
According to the report, a sticking point in the negotiations is Liverpool’s unwillingness to sell such a strong player to a team vying for the title.
