Following an impressive performance in the Premier League and Champions League, Jhon Duran, Aston Villa forward, has signed a new contract with the club.
The 20-year-old almost left Villa Park in the summer but stayed and has scored six goals despite limited playing time.
The Colombia international’s contract was in place until 2028, but the specifics of his new contract have not been made public.
Among his accomplishments are wins against Everton and West Ham in the Premier League, along with scoring the lone goal in Villa’s historic 1-0 triumph over Bayern Munich last week.
Since joining the Chicago Fire in January 2023, Duran has only started 11 games for the club in nearly two years. However, he has scored 14 goals during that time, 10 of them as a substitute.
