Thomas Frank, Brentford’s manager, has signed a contract to become Tottenham’s head coach until 2028.
The 51-year-old Dane replaced Ange Postecoglou, whom the club fired earlier this month despite his Europa League victory in May.
Over a seven-year period, Frank’s leadership propelled Brentford from the Championship to the Premier League in 2021.
Since June 2021, Tottenham has had three other permanent managers before him.
With a 17th-place finish and 22 losses from 38 matches, Spurs trailed Brentford by seven positions and 18 points last season in the top flight.
Nevertheless, a Europa League final victory over Manchester United in Bilbao secured them a Champions League place next season and their first major trophy in 17 years.
Even though Brentford tried to keep him, Justin Cochrane is joining Frank at Tottenham as his assistant.
In addition to Frank, Chris Haslam (Head of Performance) and Joe Newton (First-Team Analyst) from Brentford, as well as Andreas Georgson (Assistant Coach) from Manchester United, have also joined.
