Tottenham Hotspur wants Roberto De Zerbi to be their next permanent head coach after Igor Tudor left the club just 44 days into his tenure.
Chief executive Vinai Venkatesham and sporting director Johan Lange are looking at several options, and De Zerbi is a top choice after leaving Olympique de Marseille earlier this season. Reports say he is interested in the job but might wait until the end of the season to see if Spurs stay in the Premier League.
Sean Dyche is another possible short-term option, but his contract demands could make talks difficult. Former Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino is also well-liked, but he is currently working with the United States men’s national soccer team.
Tottenham is also considering several interim options as they try to steady its season.
