Matheus Cunha, the Brazilian forward, realized his dream upon finalizing his £62.5m transfer to Manchester United.
Cunha’s move to United this month involved the activation of a release clause in his Wolves contract.
The deal is finalized following the completion of visa and medical requirements.
Cunha has a five-year contract with a one-year extension option.
“I can’t fully describe how I feel about playing for Manchester United,” he stated.
“From my childhood in Brazil, watching Premier League games at my grandmother’s, Manchester United has been my favorite English team, and I dreamed of wearing their red shirt”.
“I want to thank my family and everyone who has helped me make that dream a reality.”
Since his Atletico Madrid move in 2023, Cunha’s Wolves career included 76 appearances and 31 goals across all competitions.
Jason Wilcox, United’s director of football, excitedly announced Matheus’s signing, emphasizing that they had achieved a key objective for the summer transfer window early.
