D.C. United secured a dramatic 2-1 victory over Toronto FC at Audi Field to claim their fifth win of the MLS season.
The Black-and-Red made a bright start, dominating possession and putting Toronto under sustained pressure before taking the lead in the 41st minute through an own goal following a corner kick.
Toronto responded after the restart, with midfielder Theo Corbeanu finding the net from inside the penalty area to level the contest.
The decisive moment came deep into stoppage time when midfielder Andre Dozzell was fouled inside the box, earning D.C. United a penalty. Forward Tai Baribo calmly converted from the spot in the 90+10th minute to seal all three points.
The goal marked Baribo’s 10th of the MLS campaign and his third in as many matches, continuing his impressive run of form. D.C. United remain ninth in the Eastern Conference with 22 points and a 5-5-7 record, and will look to carry that momentum into next Saturday’s home clash against Nashville SC at Audi Field.

- Tai Baribo: Scored the match-winning penalty in the 90+10th minute for his 10th league goal of the season. The forward also created three scoring opportunities during his 90-minute performance.
- Keisuke Kurokawa: Delivered an outstanding all-around display, recording 14 defensive actions while creating two chances in the attacking third over 90 minutes.
- Kye Rowles: Produced 12 defensive contributions and directed the header that resulted in D.C. United’s opening goal before being substituted after 80 minutes.
- Sean Johnson: Facing his former club for the first time, the goalkeeper made six saves from seven shots on target to help preserve D.C. United’s victory.
