Man City places Wolves defender Ait-Nouri on their radar

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has placed Rayan Ait-Nouri at the top of his priority list in order to address his team’s left-back position.
Following Benjamin Mendy’s exit, the city is short of a specialist left-back. He last played for the club in August 2021.
Oleksandr Zinchenko, Joao Cancelo, and Josko Gvardiol are among the players with extensive experience in that position.
Young Nico O’Reilly stepped into the position late last season, which included the FA Cup final, where they lost to Crystal Palace.
This summer, Guardiola aims to solve this problem, and his target is Wolves’ Ait-Nouri.
The 23-year-old Algerian international doesn’t yet have an agreement, but sources believe one is forthcoming.
The Algerian squad for the friendlies against Rwanda (June 5th) and Sweden (June 10th) features Ait-Nouri.
City must finalize Ait-Nouri’s transfer before June 10th to have him ready for the Club World Cup group stage.
