Manager Mikel Arteta desires Thomas Partey’s continued presence at Arsenal, as he has confirmed.
The Ghanaian joined from Atletico Madrid in 2020 on a five-year deal that ends this summer.
Speculation links Partey to Barcelona, Juventus, and Saudi Pro League clubs in the upcoming summer transfer window.
Before Arsenal’s final match, Arteta stated that Partey had his best season in terms of consistency.
“I think the way he’s played, performed, his availability has been exceptional, and he’s a really important player for us. Yeah (I want him to stay),” he added.
Having overcome injury issues, Partey has had a standout season for Arsenal, playing a club-high 51 games and scoring four goals.
Arsenal’s 31-year-old player aims to maintain their excellent performance in Sunday’s match against Southampton at St. Mary’s.
