The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has formed a new Management Committee responsible for the Black Stars’ administration and logistics.
Dr Randy Abbey, a GFA Executive Council member, will chair the committee. Dr. Abbey is responsible for leading engagements with the government and other key stakeholders. As Vice-coordinator, Stephen Appiah (former Black Stars captain) will assist with overall leadership and focus on player relations. 
Samuel Aboabire, Chairman of the Greater Accra Regional Football Association and a GFA Executive Council member, and Moses Armah, President of Medeama Sporting Club, are also on the committee. To serve the interests of sponsors, partners, and collaborators, Aboabire and Armah will oversee all operations and matchday activities. 
FC Samartex’s 1996 president and 2023/2024 Ghana Premier League champion leader, Richard Nsenkyire, will be a member with special duties. 
The GFA stressed the committee’s broad responsibilities, which involve effectively managing and strategically planning Black Stars’ activities. The committee will liaise with the technical team and the GFA to ensure effective camping, logistics, and schedule adherence. 
“The Management Committee’s duties will include…serving as a link between the Technical Team and the GFA, ensuring adequate camping arrangements, providing logistical support, and paying regular visits to the team in camp,” the GFA stated.
The committee will also work with the Ministry of Youth and Sports to ensure timely funding, manage travel, and promote appropriate conduct for the team as Ghanaian representatives. They’ll create policies to effectively support players and officials while keeping the committee, technical team, and players working together harmoniously. 
The GFA’s Marketing and Communications teams will collaborate with the committee to fulfill sponsorship obligations and communicate effectively about the Black Stars. 
The GFA President, Kurt E.S. Okraku, believes in the committee’s expertise and commitment. “We are excited to announce the formation of this new Management Committee, which brings together a team of experienced and dedicated individuals who are passionate about Ghana football,” he said. “We are confident they will work tirelessly to support the Black Stars and ensure their success.” 
The formation of a new committee signifies a fresh start for the Black Stars, as stakeholders are optimistic that its experienced members will guide Ghana’s national team towards greater achievements.
