Ghanaian football legend Abedi Ayew Pele has encouraged the Black Maidens to remain focused and disciplined in preparing for the WAFU B U-17 Girls Cup.
During the team’s training at the GFA Technical Center, three-time African Footballer of the Year, Abedi Pele offered words of wisdom and encouragement.
“I am impressed with how well you are executing your coaches’ instructions on the pitch,” Abedi Pele said. “Stay focused and be disciplined. I eagerly look forward to seeing the Black Maidens dominate in the upcoming tournament.”
Showing impressive form in their preparations, the Black Maidens have secured consecutive friendly match wins against Rootz Sistaz FC; 5-1 and 2-0.
The next match is against FC Epiphany Warriors in Prampram this Friday, December 6th.
Abedi Pele’s upcoming visit should inspire the team to excel in the next competition.
The Black Maidens were banned by CAF for two years in 2022 for alleged age cheating, but they hope to return.
