Mason Greenwood criticised by Getafe coach after on-loan Manchester United forward scores vs Granada

Getafe head coach Jose Bordalas has urged Mason Greenwood to maintain his performance levels for a full 90 minutes after Manchester United’s on-loan forward scored in the win over Granada on Monday evening.

Greenwood netted Getafe’s first-half opener with a deflected effort before Borja Mayoral, who is now joint-top scorer in La Liga alongside Jude Bellingham and Girona’s Artem Dovbyk with 14 goals this season, doubled the hosts’ lead in the 36th minute.

The victory keeps Getafe 10th in La Liga and has ended their run of back-to-back defeats in the Spanish top flight.

Greenwood has impressed during his loan spell at Getafe, which has led to calls from some United supporters to allow the 22-year-old back in Erik ten Hag’s squad for next season.
