Zinabu Issah of Ghana added another gold to her accolades, winning the women’s F57 discus throw at the WPA 2025 Grand Prix in Marrakech, Morocco.
Issah’s outstanding performance yielded a personal best throw of 29.25 meters, surpassing her previous record of 26.66 meters at the 2024 Grand Prix. This is a major step forward compared to her 24.39m effort in the Paris 2024 Paralympic qualifiers.
Her record-breaking throw secured her a first-place finish and solidified her position among Ghana’s leading para-athletes. Her upcoming performance will hinge on her qualification for global events, such as the 2025 WPA World Championships and Glasgow’s 2026 Commonwealth Games.
