Mohamed Salah put an end to speculation about his future by signing a new contract with Liverpool.
A new contract, keeping the 32-year-old at Anfield until 2027, has been signed, according to Sky Sports News.
Salah’s brilliant form has given Liverpool a huge advantage, propelling them to the brink of a historic 20th league title.
Besides winning a UEFA Super Cup and a FIFA Club World Cup with Liverpool, Salah also won a Premier League title, a Champions League title, an FA Cup, and two League Cups.
“Of course I’m very excited,” said Salah to Liverpool’s official club channels. “We have a great team now. Before also we had a great team. But I signed because I think we have a chance to win other trophies and enjoy my football.

“It’s great, I had my best years here. I played eight years, hopefully it’s going to be 10. Enjoying my life here, enjoying my football. I had the best years in my career.
“I would like to say to [the fans], I am very, very happy to be here. I signed here because I believe we can win a lot of big trophies together.
“Keep supporting us and we’ll give it our best, and hopefully in the future we’re going to win more trophies.”
Arne Slot, the head coach of Liverpool, shared his joy during the press conference. His years of continuous service at this club have clearly demonstrated his immense value to both the team and the club.
“As are all the fans and his team-mates, we are very happy he has extended for two more years. I hope he proves his value to the team on Sunday against West Ham.”
“For the fans, it’s a relief. I don’t think it’s a surprise to you that I knew a bit better how his contract situation went over the course of the whole season. I knew for a while that things were heading in the right direction.
“It’s also a big compliment for Richard Hughes to extend Mo Salah, who is such a great player and as a free agent can probably go to any club in the world, wherever he wants to, but he stayed at our club. That’s also a compliment for Richard Hughes.
“I was part of that process, but I don’t think I deserve the compliments. First of all, it’s Mo’s choice and his agent’s choice for what he wants. Then the club, FSG, Richard Hughes and Michael Edwards, they put in a lot of effort in him to extend. Effort mostly means money! But also effort, not only money!
“What it might tell you is that it’s not only a good season this season, we want to have a good season next season as well. I think Mo is convinced that there is a fair chance that we are able to do so. Again, that’s positive for us.”
