Ghana’s Beach Soccer ambitions dwindle after second AFCON 2024 loss

Ghana is in danger at the CAF Beach Soccer Africa Cup of Nations Egypt 2024 due to two back-to-back losses in Group A.
The Black Sharks lost 5-2 against Morocco on Monday, jeopardizing their chances of advancing to the knockout stages.
Following their narrow 4-3 defeat to Egypt, the Ghanaian team was under immense pressure to deliver a strong performance against Morocco. Their chances of staying in the competition hinged on this match.
However, despite their efforts, they could not match the intensity the North African team displayed. Ghana’s position in the group is at the bottom, as they have scored no points in two matches.
Morocco, seeking their first-ever place in the finals, dominated the match and guaranteed their position as leaders in Group A.
Ghana faces added pressure after its defeat. It heads into its final group game with a slim chance of qualifying.
To keep their hopes alive, the Black Sharks must secure a resounding victory in their last match and hope for favorable outcomes in other games. The upcoming match against Tanzania is of utmost importance, as it will determine Ghana’s fate in the competition.
In their last group stage match, they will face Tanzania, who are also aiming for their first victory.
