Aberdeen appoint Neil Warnock as interim manager

Neil Warnock has been appointed Aberdeen’s interim manager for the remainder of the season.

The Dons have moved quickly to secure the 75-year-old following the sacking of Barry Robson last week.

Warnock has spent his managerial career in England and Wales, most notably with Sheffield United, Crystal Palace, Queens Park Rangers and Cardiff City.

Warnock, who has retired twice in his career, returned to management 12 months ago to save Huddersfield Town from relegation in the Championship but he stepped down in September.
