Asante Kotoko’s squad has been significantly bolstered with the addition of Guinean goalkeeper Mohammed Camara, a move that is set to enhance their performance on the field. The Porcupine Warriors have signed a 24-year-old player from Soar Academy on a two-year contract, making them the 10th addition this transfer window.
Camara, who played in 26 games for Soar Academy last year, brings agility, quick reflexes, and a commanding presence to Kotoko’s goalkeeping team.
Head Coach Dr. Prosper Narteh Ogum praised the new recruit, saying, “Mohammed Camara is an outstanding goalkeeper with incredible talent. His agility, quick reflexes, and ability to command his area make him a perfect fit for our team. He comes highly recommended, and we are confident he will be a great asset to our club.”
Positive conversations with his former teammate, Amos Frimpong, significantly influenced Guinean goalkeeper Mohammed Camara’s decision to join Kotoko. Frimpong, who previously held the position of captain at Kotoko, spoke highly of the club’s environment and goals, which convinced Camara that Kotoko was the perfect place for him to continue his career.
Amos highly praised the club. Camara revealed that he is convinced that Asante Kotoko is the perfect place for him to continue his career. Kotoko now has a formidable trio of goalkeepers with the addition of Camara.
