Brentford has acquired Fabio Carvalho from Liverpool in a transfer that could amount to £27.5m.
The initial worth of the deal for the 21-year-old attacking midfielder is £22.5m, with an extra £5m in add-ons.
The package for Liverpool includes a sell-on clause of 17.5 percent.
Carvalho, who was also a target for Southampton and Leicester, has officially inked a five-year agreement, with Brentford retaining the option to extend for one more year.
“According to Brentford boss Thomas Frank, Fabio is a player who possesses numerous qualities,” as stated on the club’s official website.
“Offensively, he has great abilities on the ball: he can go past players, slide a pass, create chances, and get on the end of chances. He’s the type of player we don’t have many in the squad, so he will add something extra for us.”
Liverpool signed Carvalho for £5m in 2022 after his standout performances at Fulham.
