Red Star Belgrade signs Ghanaian Ebenezer Annan

Red Star Belgrade, the Serbian champions, have officially signed Ebenezer Annan, a Black Stars defender, to a three-year deal completed on Tuesday, June 18th.

The contract allows Annan to extend his stay for an extra year.

At the age of 21, Annan embarks on a new chapter in his career, moving from Bologna to Red Star Belgrade, a journey that started when he rose to play for the senior team at Bologna.

Imolese and Novi Pazar in Serbia were the clubs where Annan spent seasons on loan during his time with Bologna.

His outstanding performances at Novi Pazar caught the interest of Red Star Belgrade, which led to his signing after his contract with Bologna ended.

Annan received considerable attention when he was selected for Otto Addo’s Black Stars squad for friendly matches against Uganda and Nigeria in March.

Despite joining the team late, Annan showcased his potential and talent, making a significant impact by coming off the bench in the second half against Nigeria and then starting as a left wing-back in the following match against Uganda.

Annan’s decision to join Red Star Belgrade significantly advances his career, and he aspires to excel alongside the Serbian giants.
