GFA in talks with Jamaica over potential pre-World Cup friendly

The Ghana Football Association is reportedly in discussions with the Jamaica Football Federation to arrange an international friendly, adding fresh excitement to Ghana’s preparations for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

The proposed match is expected to serve as part of Ghana’s preparations for the global tournament, which will be co-hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico.

Officials see this clash as a valuable test for the Black Stars, offering a chance to sharpen their skills against formidable opponents. It also presents new head coach Carlos Queiroz with a fresh stage to assess his squad and refine his tactical vision.

Since Queiroz’s arrival, Ghana has ramped up its preparations, with players gathering in Wales and the anticipation for their next international challenges steadily building.

Should the friendly be confirmed, it promises to capture widespread attention, fueled by the blossoming football rivalry and deep cultural connections between Ghana and Jamaica.
