World Cup 2026 Prep: Otto Addo monitors Kudus in London

As part of Ghana’s World Cup preparations, Black Stars coach Otto Addo was in London on Sunday, attending the Tottenham Hotspur-Sunderland Premier League game.

Addo was a special guest of Ghana’s Mohammed Kudus, who has become one of Spurs’ standout players this season, thanks to his impressive performances since transferring from West Ham United.

The trip was part of the coach’s plan to monitor Ghanaian players in Europe.

The evening took a turn for the worse when Kudus had to leave the match after just 19 minutes due to injury.

Randal Kolo Muani replaced him, raising concerns about Kudus’ availability. After the final whistle, Addo met with the player to analyze the situation and plan ahead, stressing Kudus’ significance.

Otto Addo, who played and coached for Borussia Dortmund, hopes to lead the Black Stars to their fifth World Cup. Ghana is in Group L and will play Panama, England, and Croatia as it prepares for the World Cup.
