Arsenal’s Thomas Partey highly values the Footballer of the Year award at the 2025 Ghana Football Awards, considering it one of his most meaningful career achievements.
Winning Ghana’s top individual football award, the 31-year-old beat Antoine Semenyo and Inaki Williams, also winning the Football for Good award with Tariq Lamptey for their charity work.
Addressing the audience Saturday night at Accra’s International Conference Centre, Partey emotionally stated:
“I’d like to begin by expressing my gratitude to the organizers. It has happened three times consecutively. That’s much appreciated. I also want to thank everyone who voted in my favor. I understand it’s difficult. Lots of my buddies deserve this. I’m not alone, but my family supports me, as you know”.
“This is just as important to me as any career award. I’m so grateful, and I adore it”.
Partey’s award comes on the heels of a strong season in which he contributed to Arsenal’s Champions League semifinal appearance and second-place Premier League finish.
