We can succeed with the Potentials we have—New Black Queens coach Kim Lars Bjorkegren

Newly appointed Black Queens coach Kim Lars is relishing a successful stint with the team and believes they have the potential to achieve their goals.

The new Swedish coach has signed a two-year contract. She replaces Nora Hauptle, who’s now coaching Zambia’s Copper Queens after her GFA contract expires.

During his introduction, the 43-year-old conveyed confidence in guiding the team to victory.

“The most important aspect of my job is to visit all the players, watch games, and help them improve,” Bjorkegren said.

“Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, but I think the most important thing for me, the staff, and the players is to work hard every day to ensure that we will succeed sooner or later.

Bjorkegren also praised Ghana’s abundant talent, expressing optimism for immediate and sustained success.

“I can see so much talent in this country, so I am sure that, in the short term, we have the potential to be successful. In the long term, I can always guarantee that we will be successful.”

Bjorkegren will begin his tenure with a friendly against Morocco on February 21st, a WAFCON preparatory match.

South Africa, Mali, and Tanzania are the Black Queens’ Group C opponents.
