The CAF President, Patrice Motsepe, has formally declared his intention to run for a second term during the CAF Presidential elections scheduled for March 2025.
Under Motsepe’s leadership, which began in March 2021, African football has witnessed significant reforms and initiatives to enhance its global influence.
The 61-year-old South African businessman and mining magnate has emerged as a prominent figure in African football governance, with a strong focus on financial transparency and institutional accountability in CAF.
According to CAF, Dr. Patrice Motsepe has finally decided to run for president in the CAF Presidential Elections in March 2025. This decision comes after receiving requests from multiple CAF Member Association Presidents, Zonal Union Presidents, and other influential stakeholders.
